Alright - Paul Howells
Okay, my alarm clock says I need to start my day,
but I barely made it through the disarray of yesterday.
So I'll repeat, this walk of life that's like swimming through concrete
and I shake me head, sit up and set my feet, still feeling incomplete,
And there's nothing left to say,
just trying to make it through another day.
I'm apathetic and I've lost the will to fight,
cause right now I'm not alright.
Soon, I'll just be running through the motions of the afternoon,
and singing like a string that's out of tune, or the rain in June,
and I don't recall, ever feeling to insignificant so small,
as I hear the sounds of my fists against the wall,
cause this is all I've got to give.
And there's nothing I can do,
just trying to make it through an hour or two
I'm apathetic and I've lost the will to fight,
cause right now I'm not alright.
And I know it's in my head, just trying to make it from my door to bed,
The days are dragging so I'll take solace in night, because right now. Right now I'm not alright.
